The Matt Dailey Band

NOW In Stereophonic Sound!

DIG:  The band's passion for the internet is far surpassed by their passion for playing music. This can be chalked up to their QUESTIONABLE BACKGROUNDS.  Not one of them is quite sure where he came from, although Mich maintains that he was fused from the scattered remains of an unknown mythical beast.  Regardless, since you've taken the time to visit the band, they've just taken the time to visit you!  Your doorbell, listen!

You, whoever you think you are, are cordially and very personally extended a hearty "thank you" for all of your support over the years.

Peace - The Matt Dailey Band

LEND YOUR EYES:

[2/19/08] Wow, seriously? The Matt Dailey Band continues to exist, does it? Well, that's fine. We've been six years in the making now. Many of us have lived long lives and have much to tell. We are world weary (and it shows). Now we've gone into reminiscence mode. So we ask for this: please post your fondest "The Matt Dailey Band" memories in our guestbook. Or go involve yourself in The Myspace. Or The Facebook.

Thanks!

I love you!

Love,

Matt!

[11/8/06] Enjoy this fine new MATT DAILEY BAND LOGO:

Check us out on MySpaceCharts.com

[4/18/06] So we updated the site today. But don't ask "how?" or "in what manner?"

See, we wrote a song about it. It's called "Talkin' Lonesome 4/18/06 Update Blues". When you hear it, all of your questions will be answered. And all of your kidney stones will disappear, along with your scurvy and rheumatism. Kiss them goodbye, you'll miss them.

Bye now.

[4/03/06] Ah, didn't see you there.

The MDBand plans to release it's 83rd album in 9 minutes, followed by its 84th whenever they want to. So what's your band doing?

Anyway, currently all five of us feel just like the fine beast in the picture over to the right of the page: Noble, sandy and windswept. By that I mean we'll be playing some more momentous concerts starting in MAY/JUNE. To clarify, those are two separate months, not one with a slash in the spelling.

See you in a bit.

- MDBand

[3/02/06] Oh hi. We'll begin a band! The year is 2002. How about this moniker: The Matt Dailey Band! OK. That's our back story, and now you are pretty intimate with the band. You know us, the REAL us. Ask any of the guys if you can play a concert with them and you can bet they'll tell you "Sure, if you taste so fine or you dance divine and you've got clothes like mine." We always keep an open mind.

[12/13/05] Mark your calendars and spread the good word: TheMattDaileyBandClaus is coming to town for a post-holiday, post-New Year music-fest: THE HURRICANE KATRINA RELIEF CONCERT will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 at the Ocean Township High School auditorium. Please donate! Any and all profits (donations) go straight towards the Red Cross effort to assist the victims of the massively devastating Hurricane Katrina. So come reunite with the band and eachother on January 2 - what better place to do it than the high school auditorium?

[12/04/05] Check out the Shows/News section - www.mattdaileyband.50megs.com/whats_new.html - and prepare for a New Year's Eve Party at the Berkeley Carteret Hotel in Asbury Park - 8:30 PM, December 31, 2005.

And a few days later will be the second annual charity-driven Matt Dailey Band Winter Reunion Show. Stay tuned to the news and I know we'll see you there.

[12/01/05] This is all very vexing.

[11/29/05] Well it seems that the band has been holding out on me. They've been finding embarrassing pictures of me and posting them all over the internet. If I wasn't so damn attractive that might be comical to some. Anyhow. We'd like to update everyone on our reunion show. It's coming along quite nicely. With some luck we might even get a live band to play. Speaking of live bands, we may also be playing a New Year's Eve show...because face it, it's not New Year's Eve unless you're throwing up in the corner next to Matt Dailey. By the way, his nickname is thumper. That's all for now. Keep checking for new updates.

Love,

Adam "FORK 'EM BITCHES" Lowy

- [11/20/05] Well, some more minor changes were made to the site. The major change is the addition of this incredible picture to the right.

Anyway, winter is upon us, and logically following will be Winter Break. As usual, The Matt Dailey Band will be having a reunion show. It will again be a BENEFIT SHOW. Moths will soon be flying out of our enpty wallets, but could we care?

Keep checking the site, the News Page in particular for more info on our concert in the near future.

See you soon,

Matt

- [11/2/05]

- [9/20/05] Well it's been just over 5 months since we last let you into our lives via this website. And that's slightly upsetting. Summer is technically still here...Fall is not for another 2 days. Therefore, this will be labeled our "summer update". Cool, right? Well, I must say, it was a fun summer, but a busy one. Some of us took clases and we all worked. So schedules were tight, to say the least. But we played out a handful of times, spread out through the summer. We seem to gravitate towards unconventional venues. Anyway, they're more fun. Who could forget the excitement at Tzeduka Fest 2005? And Mich's birthday party under the Borewood Tree was a gas. The most memorable shows of the summer, however, were the two beach front bashes. Breakwater Beach Club was first, at the end of July, and Takanassee Beach Club came last, in early August. Both of those were captured on video by our kind pal, cameraman Paul Auerbach. So both of those recordings are floating around, if anyone would like one. Anyway, at one point between Breakwater and Takanassee, I picked up a new drumset. Well, new to me at least. It's actually in working condition, which is something I'm not accustomed to, and so I'm happy. Sounds good, too.

So let's see...what more should be added to the site? I'd say eventually a comprehensive Matt Dailey Band song list. Some more pictures would be nice, too. And a list/description of events of the recent shows we've played. Such as the one's over the summer. I'm sure there's more...If you have any thoughts, email me at mtd5003@psu.edu. Always appreciated.

OH! And if you have checked out the myspace website, do so post-haste! You'll find it at www.myspace.com/mattdaileyband.

And don't forget the guestbook, although it is quite elusive. There should be links to it at the bottom of most pages. Maybe I'll put up a link in the sidebar soon. But that just might be asking too much of me.

And lastly, if you haven't noticed, the website has gone through a variety of changes. Several pages were added; hopefully you'll be delighted with the new material. Also, there is now a Message Board. Exciting, right!? So post away.

And above all, we really want to hear from you guys! So keep in touch, we'll try to do the same.

Matt

- [4/17/05] More than a month has past since the updation of the site. Ya'll need to post ludicrous amounts of messages on the message board. If you can't get the link below to work, go to the stats page and use that one. Apparently Adam wants to have a show before I get home from school (f'n bastard) so maybe we'll jam together before my birthday, so keep lookin'! -Mich

- [3/6/05] talk is cheaper than a keg of beast (everyone's favorite domestic beer). that's why we're doing it for real this time. BAND-B-Q. down on the corner of chatham and garwood, june 24th. should be good.

- [2/28/05] put up some old school pictures, check them out.

- [2/25/05] it seems none of our spring breaks coincide so i doubt you'll see a show next month. we appologize for this inconvenience but look forward to seeing you in june.

- [1/6/05] thanks to all who attended our tsunami benefit/reunion show this past break. we were able to donate a helpful sum of money so feel good about yourselves.

Request A Cover!

Sure we have our own tunes, but we covet other bands' material like it's our job.  And in a way, it is.

So, what songs do you want to hear?

Email Matt at mtd5003@psu.edu with suggestions!
